Adult Learn to Swim
Adults are able to learn to swim with an experienced instructor in a sage and comfortable environment. We offer beginner classes for those who need to be introduced to basic swim techniques, and advanced classes for individuals wanting to strengthen their swim skills. This basic water aerobics class is designed so that everyone, including the non- swimmer, can begin enjoying aquatics. Water exercise can make you stronger, more flexible and often thinner. It also relaxes tight muscles, refreshes you and is unlikely to cause injuries. Aqua Zumba classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 6:15pm.
Students, faculty, staff, alumni and other TSU Recreation & Wellness Center members are welcome to join. Minimum age to take class is 16. Swim skills pretest. To teach lifeguard candidates the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course content and activities prepare candidates to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, and prevent drowning and injuries. Register Now
